Betty & myself wish to thank you for joining us at our home on Sunday 19th June 2011 making the journey all the way from your home in Gloucestershire. We certainly enjoyed your great company as always, and with our other selected close friends whom you know, made it a real fun Sunday full of jokes and laughter.
Betty's Vodka Jellies certainly went down a treat all competing to swallow the jellies from the shot glasses which was not easy. All told it was fun seeing each one trying their best.
On this occasion we did not have an outright winner as there was a little bit of cheating going on (no explanation necessary) but overall, the one who did best was Alexander.
Allan Rooke would have won the prize for consuming the most, but the Vodka did not knock him out so next time round Betty plans to add more Vodka and plan a serious competition. No knives or teaspoons allowed on the table. (You all will have to use your tongues to scoop the jelly out).
Thanks to you for all your lovely gifts and equally wish to thank Dr. Betty Spry, Alan, Anita, Allan, Alex & Anna for joining us and thanks for all your gifts too.
It was a pity Denzyl & Pam could not make it due to their previous prior engagement but we will not fail to plan well in advance with plenty of warning with the following schedule in place:-
Day 1:- (Mid-week or week-end)
From 12.00 onwards - Ian and Juliet spend two nights or longer at Ben and Bet's.
Lunch party till at B & B's till late late evening). Vodka Jellies competition followed by the crazy card game.
Day 2 - From 6.30 pm onwards - All out for dinner at a selected Restaurant or at our home.
Day 3 - Garden breakfast with Ian & Juliet followed by late Lunch. All the team invited.
